DOUG Fanart Frenzy 01

Earlier in January 22 2026, 

I found this fanart on my FACEBOOK feed

and seeing as I'm pretty much a diehard DOUG fan on the same level as REED NELSON is a mega fan of LUPIN III,

I couldn't resist downloading the fanart.

However, I have some thoughts on the matter.

First off,

You might recognize the general feel of the artwork which is DOUG being encased in a jar by the SLEECH BROTHER's father.

But if you watch the actual episode this artwork is based on which is DOUG & THE WEIRD KIDS,

This only happened as part of DOUG's anxiety based imagination spots.

And unlike the fanart which has the AL & MOO SLEECH looking at DOUG in the jar with bewilderment, the actual VLC Screenshots I'm sharing just have the two with a deadpan stare at the jar.

Also, the Fanart completely redesign the SLEECH BROTHERS's mouths so they don't look like lips.

DOUG eventually meets the SLEECH PATRIARCH in person...

and all the negative rumors about the SLEECH BROTHERS go away.

And DOUG wouldn't have nightmares about being stuffed in jars again..... 

until 1996 during the DISNEY SERIES.

Though this time,

even if it was an anxiety imagination, The deed was done by his sister JUDY.

"YOU COULD AT LEAST LET ME FACE THE TV!!!!"

Good thing his anxieties in that particular moment in 1996 were only because of a HAT THEFT and a fellow jerkass' abuse of the MONROE DOCTRINE without really understanding the full context of the long antiquated foreign policy to begin with.

I just noticed something in the fanart at the beginning of this...........

Well nuts.....

The fanart was referencing a NICKELODEON era episode from 1993 but DOUG is still rightfully owned by DISNEY since 1996 so.....

So having the guy who made the fanart credit PARAMOUNT-SKYDANCE might be a too far of a stretch especially in light of DAVID ELLISON's recent actions regarding politics.

That's why I refused to put SKYDANCE's name in the label section of this particular blogpost. 

Update as of July 28 2026:

On July 24 2026, The a majority of U.S Democrats submitted ANTI-TRUST SUITS which brought the attention of DAVID ELLISON which therefore fueled his decision to halt the merger until June 1 2027.

Nothing to do with DOUG since he's not SKYDANCE property...
