Studio Nicknames

For those who are curious, several of my posts use terms like Mouse House, Rabbit Hole, Slime Factory, etc.

Why do I use those terms?

To identify what studio I’m talking about.

Now I will go in depth of those terms.

01 The Slime Factory:

This is the nickname I give to Nickelodeon because the slime is so very fitting to the company.

Plus, it's also a part of the Company's original Splat Branding.

The slime in the logo was Inspired by the slime that was dumped on people in the 1980s Canadian sketch comedy

“You can’t do that on Television”

The slime would become the trademark of Nickelodeon ever since it and their Balloon Font Logo made their debut on October 1984.

That’s why I call Nickelodeon “The Slime Factory”.

It’s a homage to their trademark logo art as well as the Canadian Show that the network had at the time.

02 The Rabbit Hole:

I call Cartoon Network THE RABBIT HOLE due to its association with Warner Bros.

The funny thing is that Cartoon Network was originally meant as a 90s haven for anything Hanna-Barbera

but as of the 1995 TimeWarner acquisition by Ted Turner, Cartoon Network has been the go to for anything Warner Bros related.

Rabbit Hole is used due to Bugs Bunny.

What. You expect me to use names like THE CAVE , HIPPIE VAN, or CULL-DE-SAC? Those two don’t ring a bell as a name. Besides, Bugs is considered the Mascot of Warner Bros.

Also, did you know that Bugs decorates his home the way he feels he wants it?

03 The Mouse House:

You already know why Disney is referred to as the Mouse House so there’s really no need for me to explain any further.
