Clash of the unsavory Billionaires-Monty Burns vs. Bill Bluff

What do

Charles Montgomery "Monty" Burns from THE SIMPSONS(1989-Present)

&

William "Bill" Hornblower Bluff III from DOUG(1991-1999)

have in common with one another?

They're both BILLIONAIRES with very controversial demeanors that prove more trouble for their public image rather than help out others.

But they're not really on the same ballpark if you ask me.

Because have characterizations that make them at least more sympathetic than some real-life billionaires we know today.

(No real-life examples please.)

MR. BURNS, is an unabashed, self-imposed man who's got a fierce disposition and an knack for ignoring what the public wants in favor of his own views.

The one thing that makes him tolerable is his somewhat frail exterior as the character has demonstrated that's he's physically weak.

A rich bastard does not blend well with Bowling Alleys since 

January 1996

Also, he's purposely ignorant of changing times to the point it's mentally still the 1920s for him.

Clearly, Monty has ignored the damage caused by the 

Wall Street Crash of 1929.

And when it comes to most other things he feels he's too weak or too busy to accomplish, he makes his assistant WAYLON SMITHERS do the dirty work for him.

Such as dealing with the incompetent boob HOMER SIMPSON

and Even releasing the hounds.

BILL BLUFF from DOUG on the other hand, is a different character compared to MR BURNS despite being the STATE OF VIRGINIA's residential RICH BLOWHARD.

For starters, he's got PURPLE SKIN which in the WORLD OF DOUG, is to indicate his High Sense of Social Status.

Another is the fact that he acts like he owns the town just because his ancestor THADDUES BLUFF

founded the town BLUFFINGTON in 17th Century AMERICA.

MR BLUFF also is somewhat immature for being in his early 40s.

For starters, he gets pissed when things don't go his way such as when ROGER's Cronies NED, BOOMER, AND WILLIE inadvertently save a TREE from being uprooted.

"Breaking news:

"I can't read this....."

"But it's got something to do with those meddling kids!!!!"

Just like with MR BURNS who often has disregard for the wellbeing of others, the same thing happened with BLUFF when he tried to market a drug with a YAK, clearly forgetting about the JOE CAMEL controversy of the early 90s.

"But.... if the NIC-NACS are for ADULTS over age 18,

Wouldn't the YAK be promoting the Drug to children in a

similar vein to R.J REYNOLDS' JOE CAMEL?"

"Bud.... Those don't sound like the words of a TEAM PLAYER!"

"Oh.... Sure I'm a team player....."

"I'm glad he's seeing eye to eye....."

"I'm on a team called HUMANKIND!

Looks like MR. DINK read JAMA's 1991 article and JANET MANGINI'S 1992 lawsuit.

But unlike MR BURNS, who's only got his assistant SMITHERS to kowtow to,

MR BLUFF is very susceptible to his own daughter BEEBE, who he's very overprotective towards,

and TIPPI DINK when it comes to political issues.

Special mention goes to when BEEBE finally convinced BILL that PORKCHOP saved her life from thin ice.

And in the movie when both BEEBE and TIPPI DINK admonish BILL for not only endangering a Lake Monster, Polluting a lake, but for also threatening to make life a living hell for her friends.

"You thwarted me for the last time punks!

As a consequence, I'm gonna make your lives a 

LIVING RITHING AGONIZING HELL!!!!!"

"DADDY, KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!!!"

"You can't threaten my friends like that!!!!"

But Beebe-kins......

"I think a certain rich Blow-hard needs not just a good talking to

Though unlike MR BURNS, 

BILL BLUFF would never vote for Mr. ORANGE BILLIONAIRE

(You know who I'm talking about. AND IT'S NOT LAMAR BONE.)

, no matter the circumstances.

would never vote for that Oompa Loompa we have in the WHITE HOUSE!"

I don't know what Political Party BILL BLUFF belongs to.....

But I have a hunch he's not impressed with the way things are now and he'd rather vote for GAVIN NEWSOM in the 2028 elections in a heartbeat.

Good for him on that part.....

I've read that BILL BLUFF was named after DOUG creator JIM JINKINS' father who went by the name of BILL JINKINS.

BILL JINKINS lived from 1918 until 2005.
