Peanuts, EAT YOUR HEART OUT!!!-The times that media have inadvertently spoiled the ending of CITIZEN KANE just to get back at THE PEANUTS

Beware of Spoiler alerts!

If you don't like spoilers, then this particular blogpost is not for you.
If so, go read something else or wait for my next post.

But, if you've already seen the movie and/or don't mind spoilers, then enjoy this tantalizing blogpost about Spoilers and Consequences.

Anyway,
in the wake of CITIZEN KANE's 85th Anniversary, lets look at the many times that CITIZEN KANE's ending has been inadvertently spoiled by other media.

This all started when PEANUTS did a tribute to the 1941 movie in this cartoon printed on December 9 1973:
SWEET BEJESUS LUCY!!!! YOU HAVE NO SHAME!!!!
wait.....
This was 1973. How was LINUS watching what was then a 32 year old film on TV?
A showing on a Movie Channel I suppose since VHS didn't become a thing until late 1977.

After that, this caused a wave of several pieces of media to take advantage of the joke.

Though for now I'll only post three that I know of.

WALLACE & GROMIT's first film A GRAND DAY OUT inadvertently spoiled the ending of the movie via this camera pan down to the basement/workshop of the duo.
How did Wallace import that Sled from the UNITED STATES into ENGLAND?
And how much in BRITSH POUNDS did he pay for the Import Fees?

ROGER KLOTZ infamously managed to do the same when he at first refused to leave FAT JACK's TRAILER PARK after his mother EDWINA sold the land property to the BLUFFs.
Don't worry. The sled's a replica because EDWINA's watched
CITIZEN KANE on the Criterion Collection's 1992 LaserDisc.

And then the most famous(or infamous if you think so),
PETER GRIFFIN spoiling the ending via taping over a VHS copy of the movie.
And I'll embed a video here:

No wonder why PETER got banned from the VIDEO STORES.

Sorry but I had to for my own amusement.
