Clash of the Ironic Flies-DOUG's IN DEBT Vs. REN'S TOOTHACHE(AKA when DIPTERA/ANTHOMYIIDAE need the perfect punchline)

For some bizarre reason, 

I just realized that DOUG during the DISNEY ERA just ripped off a joke at REN & STIMPY's own expense.

And it was in 1996 of all years.

In the 1996 episode DOUG'S IN DEBT, DOUG has a Stinky Stink Sock thrown at his head by ROGER

and we then cut to that of a FLY passing out....

*COUGH*

"P.U!!!!"

And there's not emoticon for what this fly is thinking

Uhhhhh.....

But the FLIES from 1992's REN'S TOOTHACHE are much more funnier.

Take a gander at their reaction:

"TASTE!?"

"CRIPES!!!"

"WHAT IS THAT SMELL!!!!?????"

"UGH!!!! GOOD GOD!!!! MAN!!!!"

"I DON'T KNOW MAN BUT IT'S RUINING MY MEAL!"

"HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY!!!

WE'RE TRYING TO EAT HERE!!!!!"

"AND YOU'RE STANDING HERE AIRING OUT YOUR STINKIN GUMHOLES!!!!"

"WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO!?

MAKE US PUKE!!!???"

Why are STIMPY's flies funnier than DOUG's flies?

Because it was based on an actual incident where JOHN K., Chris Reccardi, & Vincent Waller were acting out a scene for the Banned MAN'S BEST FRIEND which for some inadvertent reason PISSED off a Little Man who was eating who was not amused by gross jokes.

And that Little Man yelled at Reccardi in the loudest voice imaginable.

If you want more detail than what's described above, It's actually in the first paragraph in my WRITING FROM REALITY post from MAY 10 2025 so no need for me to repeat myself.

Another Reason why STIMPY's FLIES are funnier is because the Flies were actually a punchline to an earlier scene in REN'S TOOTHACHE.

Specifically, the TOOTH BEAVER.

"???"

"!!!!!!!!!"

"P.U!!!!!!"

"THIS PLACE IS TOO STINKY EVEN FOR ME!!!!!"

"Ooohhhh Man!!!!"

And then come the angry flies..... which you saw earlier in this blogpost.

The only Punchline DOUG's flies had was PRINCIPAL WHITE's Toupee

"AW NEEMATODES!!!

THIS LOOKS LIKE PRINCIPAL WHITE'S.......TOUPEE!!!!"

"EVERYBODY, TURN AROUND!!!!!!"

Don't worry. Nobody threw BOB WHITE's Toupee like a frisbee. Unlike what BART did to poor SEYMOUR SKINNER in 1993

Oh, and the other punchline is DOUG's sister JUDY punching ROGER in the stomach

"Well... Why didn't you say so in the first place."

"*JUDY Offscreen* HEY! YOU! GIMME MY HAT!!!!

*Judy punches ROGER in the stomach offscreen* "

And this is not the first time ROGER's been punched in the stomach as DECEMBER 1993 can attest to all of you.....

But this is 

"Joeycookamonga! She sure is forceful... Hehehehehehehe."

I can definitely feel DOUG's pain in this scene.

Still not good punchlines?

How's about I sic these Wasps against both STIMPY & DOUG?

"HEY! SOME WISE GUY's TRYING TO STEAL OUR NICE NEW VIBE!!!"
