Not a Maverick Quickie mind you.
But today marks the first anniversary of my ownership of my...
27" ASUS VG27AQ Monitor.
I'm surprised that despite the trust and customer service issues that ASUSTEK was having last year with their customer base, that this monitor lasted longer than my MSI Optix G2712 Monitor I was using up until that point. But I'm glad to see that my ASUS monitor is doing well after a full year of ownership.
I'm guessing it had much better capacitors than what my MSI was using.
But then again, both the ASUS and MSI monitors were IPS Panels which are preferred by gamers over the VA Panels that both companies sell too.
But if you're willing to pay the extra amount of money, you could always go 4K and OLED.
But yeah, I really like this ASUS Monitor, maybe even more than my MSI.
It's got a nice way to manage cables via it's monitor stand, I can adjust the height of the monitor,
it's max resolution is 1440p which is a step up from the 1080P max that my MSI had so perfect for my RTX 4080 GPU, for now until November when I upgrade to either a 5080 or 5090.
But yeah, it's things like these that make me happy about ownership of this monitor...
That is until I get a new monitor.
Again from ASUS but might be an ROG Swift, and probably Ultrawide since I now have the desk space for such a monitor.
I will preface that when I first bought the ASUS monitor last year, I was using a Webcam that I was borrowing from work.
For almost a full year, I held that camera for that allotment of time.
Now, since Fall 2024, I use a CREATIVE LABS 4K Webcam for my monitor.
I know some people would tell me why didn't I buy a Logitech Webcam.
The truth is I wanted to go with Logitech but their 4K Webcams were out of my price range and a majority of webcams from Logitech didn't come with a built-in Lens Cap which I feel is a must for all of us working with telecommunications from home.
Anyway,
As always, see you next post.
