My thoughts on the RK ROYAL KLUDGE R87 Mechanical Keyboard

It was sometime around 5PM on April 23 2026 when I saw a notification on my Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max that an AMAZON PACKAGE showed up at the front door so I went out to the back and saw a big AMAZON box.

I took it back out to my Suite, unboxed it and it's there.

Pay no attention to the BOX.

What's represented are the wrong keycaps.

This Keyboard is an MLA Format Mechanical Keyboard as shown below on my desk next to my Current Razer Mouse and below my WACOM TABLET.

So about my thoughts on this Keyboard?

I like the fact that it's Mechanical but I also noticed how thocky it sounds when I type on it thought that may be just because I've seen YOUTUBE Shorts, Facebook Reels, and TikTok videos of people

Another thing that I like is the fact that it uses USB-C.

It's not a wireless Keyboard so I need to connect it to a computer in order for it to work so instead of using the Included USB-C Cable the keyboard came with, I just used the Braided USB-C Cable that came with my RAZER BASILISK though it may be only temporary because I plan to buy in the future a separate USB-C Cable that connects to the rear USB-C Port of my Motherboard since It's somewhat disused.

One thing that may take some getting used to are the switches underneath the keycaps.

They are slightly heavier than the ones in the FEKER IK65 I have in my room but not as heavy as the AKKOs that my EPOMAKER uses.

If the RK Switches drive me nuts, then I can just swap them out for some AKKOs or Kailh Box Yellows in the future since this is a GASKET MOUNTED Keyboard.

Either way, I look forward to gaming and using this Keyboard on my Daily Driver of a Custom Built AMD RYZEN 9 9950X3D SYSTEM: MAVERICK FALCON 7900RT.
