Happy New Year 2026 from THE SIMPSONS 27 Years ago

Well.... 2025 was a bust(Opinions may vary).


But we all need positivity and less doom scrolling in today's life so here's my obligatory SIMPSONS New Years Post just to end this year and usher in the new year.

"Won't this horrible year ever end?"

"We never lost a year before and I'll be damned if we're gonna lose one on my shift!"

*Glass breaks*

Everybody sings Auld Lang Syne

Except for those who work their asses off to file their taxes early to appease the Martinsburg Monster...
Which was really an IBM 360.... or what remains of the system before decades of hardware replacement.

By the way, these Simpsons screenshots are not from Disney+ but rather from my 2006 Season 9 DVD because I need my screenshots and Streaming always blocks captures.

As for taxes, I do file them early but not in the way Ned Flanders does. I have a guy I know from my Baptist Church who helps with my Tax Returns and sends them towards the Canadian Equivalent to Martinsburg's system.

Man, filing taxes sure have come a long way since 1998 according to the episode above. I just hope we don't have a firmware snafu like what happened in 2018.... otherwise I wouldn't want to hear the end of it.



What has changed is that GTA VI was susposed to release back in 2025 but issues with ROCKSTAR's management and production problems caused the game to be delayed.... 2 TIMES!!!!
And yes, I still plan to get this game for PS5 in November 19 2026.

To those still fuming about the delay....

PLEASE BE PATIENT!!!
DON'T TROLL ROCKSTAR JUST BECAUSE WE'RE ALL IMPATIENT AND WANT TO PLAY THE GAME NOW.

And also, don't think that ROCKSTAR's reason for avoiding a Cyberpunk 2077 release fiasco is viewed as an excuse because it's not.

I've been there with CYBERPUNK's problems back in late 2020.
Fortunately, that game has been patched up since release.
