Maverick Quickie-Now Akane's even cuter(And that's a compliment)

Don't tell Ranma Saotome about this but....

MAPPA has just made AKANE TENDO much cuter than she was in both the manga and the 1989 Anime..... in terms of art design.

And keep in mind this is before AKANE's important accidental haircut which is......

YEAH YEAH I know, people already know how it's going to turn out so I don't need to say SPOILER ALERT... but the remake hasn't got to that part yet... at least when I originally typed this.

And these complimentary words regarding Akane aren't from me. They're from somebody who's making posts on FACEBOOK about the remake.

Here are some other images I grabbed from FACEBOOK regarding the new AKANE:

In Japanese, Akane is still voiced by Noriko Hidaka.

While in English, they did not bring back Myriam Sirois....
Due to two factors.

1. The Dub is made by Iyuno and NETFLIX prefers if their own produced DUBS are made in the LOS ANGELES area with their cherry-picked talent pool.

2. Myriam herself has retired from Voice Acting since 2008 so... that's that.

For this series, they hired VALERIA RODRIGUEZ to voice Akane in the DUB.

I've heard snippets of Akane in Japanese to the point that her voice is indeed high-pitched.

Myriam and Valeria on the other hand, prefer a deeper octave on the voice....
Though.... Valeria is a slightly higher octave but not as high as Noriko's original vocal octave.

Sometimes you notice certain Octave differences in different DUBS.

Oh and an off-tangent about that, if anybody has watched the new DUB, notice any Vocal Similarities you've heard in NABIKI's Voice?
Yeah, they brought in STEPHANIE SHEH to do the Voice.

I'm familiar with Stephanie's anime dub resume to the point whenever they have characters that are soft-spoken or snarky, they'll hire Stephanie to do the voice.

NABIKI is indeed on the snarky side so i guess IYUNO hired Stephanie to voice the character and capture the character's snarky but loveable attitude as well as capture the high-octave of MINAMI's performance from the Japanese original.

Keep in mind most of these RANMA Screenshots are coming from my Facebook or IMDB.

When I eventually do my full-on Review of the remake later this month, the screenshots will most likely be with my iPhone 15 Pro's Camera shot in front of my Hisense 4K TV due to how NETFLIX always disables screen captures when you use the PRINTSCREEN Key.

That and the fact that I'm paying for a 2-Device Plan and I've pretty much met my Device Limit on my current plan.
