Ahhh.
The famed DOUG Shadow Door.
A staple of all DOUG episodes both Nickelodeon & Disney.....
When our favorite Sweater vested 12 year old Kid opens that door, he reveals....
But my personal favorite is this below:
I chose that episode was because it was the only episode I know of that has the combination of PORKCHOP jumping to paint the apostrophe and "S" as well as my personal favorite ending animation to the Title Card which is DOUG's foot stuck in the paint can.
And yes, the 1999 theatrical film DOUG'S 1ST MOVIE has it's own variant of the classic old Door Shadow, White Background, etc.
Just with a more ORCHESTRAL SOUNDTRACK provided by Mark Watters instead of Dan Swayer's rendition.
Sorry if I don't have more examples but I had to work with images that don't have network bugs regardless if their VHS or DVR recordings from Nickelodeon, Noggin, ABC, Toon Disney, or even KISSCARTOON.
And sorry for the bright saturation for the DOUG'S 1ST MOVIE screenshots but those were from someone's YOUTUBE upload of the September 1999 VHS which for some reason brightens up the colors away from the film's original 35MM presentation.
Anyway, why was I talking about Doug's Shadow door?Because in the opening Sequence of DUCKMAN: Private Dick/Family Man.....
It's only this part before segueing into an acid trip of an opening sequence but it sure is nothing short of a coincidence, especially since DUCKMAN premiered two months after DOUG aired it's last Nickelodeon episode on January 2 1994.
But whatever, Everett Peck probably wasn't influenced by Jim Jenkins so....
Just a Coincidence.
Let me know if Duckman is on PARAMOUNT+.
Otherwise, I'm sticking to ARCHIVE.ORG for my DUCKMAN marathons.
Two years later on September 7 1996,
Disney's Doug(Formerly Known as BRAND SPANKING NEW DOUG)
would premiere on ABC...To a mixed reaction......
But there was some good out of that since Joe Fallon, one of the writers of DOUG, would tease what's to come out exactly a month later in October 7 1996...
Via this Cameo:
Joe would work simultaneously on DISNEY'S DOUG and ARTHUR for the better part of his career until DOUG finished in June 1999 and was then subsequently let go from ARTHUR after Season 4 in October 1999.
And yes, Joe Fallon was working on DOUG since the Nickelodeon days....
except for Season 1.
He didn't start until Season 2 which was in Production from late 1991 to mid-1992.
