Not a Maverick Quickie thankfully but I have many things to look forward to on this blog...
Right now due to my Cafe Job, working on Animations,
and the aftermath of the U.S Elections,
I need some time to myself for at least a day or two but...
To keep my audience interested, I have decided to offer a sneak peak of what posts I'm making for this month, next month, etc.
I won't list the exact publishing date but I will provide a sneak peak of what's coming up when I feel it's time for me to publish them as well as the estimated release:
OMAHA Animated Series Pitch 02:
I've had this in the backburner for the longest time.
I originally started it back in April 2024 but I was so busy that I haven't had the time to look into it.
I've finished my research and the info behind it but I've misplaced my drawings somewhere in my house so I need to either look for them or recreate the misplaced artwork that I've made.
Expect this sometime this month. If not, then maybe January 2025.
El Dorado Retrospective:
I'm in the process of doing a retrospective of this wonderful gem of an Animated film as It's actually the very first DVD I've actually owned since the early 2000s. And I still have the DVD in my collection to this day.
In 2025, this film will turn 25 years old so I need to work on the retrospective post by January.
Grave of the Fireflies+Drama Allegories:
Don't question why I decided to do this but I must.
I hope to have this post ready by Remembrance Day 2024 but this isn't really a retrospective of the late ISAO TAKAHATA's Tearjerker Masterpiece but rather an allegory of why CRITICS favor dramas over comedies as well as my personal venting of the difference between AUDIENCE vs. CRITIC's choice for critical acclaim vs escapism.
The post is 90% finished but I'm still in the process of rewatching this film since November 2020 when I last saw it on DVD.... IN JAPANESE WITH SUBTITLES mind you.....
-This post is now complete.
Here's the link to it:
Warner Bros. I Love To Singa:
I've just recently started this post because I didn't realize until 7 years ago that this was an actual cartoon and not just some random gag from SOUTH PARK.
I'm still fine tuning some bits of this post before it's ready for PRIME TIME but trust me, this is bound to be entertaining.
Expect this to be posted sometime in January 2025.
-Finished this post before the New Year.

Ranma Remake Review:
Just because it started airing on Netflix on October 6 2024, doesn't mean I'll make the review as fast as possible.
The series is still too fresh and too new to make a full review so I'm waiting until MAPPA gets it over with with the KODACHI, AZUSA, and SHAMPOO arcs so expect a full review by December when those episodes make it.
Also, I'm torn about the recasting of the Dub cast....
with the exception of Stephanie Sheh as Nabiki as sort of my favorite because SNARKINESS and MINAMI TAKAYAMA's vocal octaves.
You'd think Netflix would hire the Vancouver Dub Cast and reunite them back to Bang Zoom but nope.
Only people who reprise their Original roles are the original Japanese Cast from 1989.... or at least those who are still alive and haven't retired from the industry.
-Post is already completed though in light of a second season being greenlit,
let me consider that as Part 1.
Here's the link to my review:
And for a Minor List, here are some that are still in the back burner but haven't been prioritized:
-Once upon a Forest
-My experience with Jeff Smith's Bone Comics
-The Super Mario Bros DIC Cartoons of the early 90s
-More Doug Posts
-A post on TOO MANY LOSING HEROINES
-Some more Maverick Quickies......
-And many more to follow.
Also, the biggest update to this blog,
aside from the change of banner to reflect the new year,
is that I now have my own Favicon.
The Crosshair M is being used as my Favicon to identify the blog and give it it's own personality.
